Julia started her career in dentistry as a dental nurse in 1999 and has gradually moved into practice management, achieving the Certificate of Higher Education in Dental Practice Management with distinction in 2013 from Sheffield Hallam University, the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Principles of Leadership and Management in 2022, and the ILM Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership in 2024. In 2018, Julia became a regional mentor for Yorkshire for the Association of Dental Administrators and Managers (ADAM).
Dentistry is a very diverse field, and Julia enjoys encouraging and supporting our whole team in expanding their skills — both to give them greater job satisfaction and to improve our services to patients. She is passionate about environmental sustainability and is helping the practice reduce its environmental impact through her role as Biodiversity Champion.
Outside of work, Julia has a keen interest in medieval history and enjoys walking, Pilates, meditation and playing the piano and bardic harp.
