During these unprecedented times we are unable to provide the normal care that patients are used to. Our practice will remain open during normal working hours to provide advice to patients and where necessary provide care in the form of prescriptions for analgesics and antibiotics. Practices are working together and face to face consultations and treatment, if necessary, will be provided for clinically urgent problems at one of these practices after telephone consultation with a dentist.
If you are calling outside of normal hours and have an urgent dental problem, please consider if this could wait until the following day or over the weekend rather than accessing the out of hours services.
If you have an urgent dental problem out of hours and the problem is extremely severe please contact the out of hours service through NHS111.
If your dental problem includes uncontrolled bleeding and a swelling that is causing breathing problems this is an emergency and you should go to A&E.
With the exception of Bank Holidays, we are open during the following times:
Monday – Thursday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Friday: 8.30am – 4.30pm
Please note that the practice closes for lunch Monday to Thursday from 1pm – 2pm and Friday 1pm – 1.45pm.
Missing appointments wastes time and resources which are needed for other patients. Our practice policy is that if patients cancel their appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend, on more than one occasion, we will no longer be in a position to continue to offer them NHS treatment.
Daily emergency appointments are available for CDC patients who attend regularly. Appointments are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Please contact reception on 0114 246 7514 from 8:30am. Priority is given to children and patients with trauma, bleeding and swelling.
Out of Hours (evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays) CALL 111.
Patients seeking urgent or emergency dental care and advice outside of normal surgery hours should contact NHS 111. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles. This service is available for both our registered patients and those without a dentist.
